Day Tour to Princess Islands with Lunch and Phaeton Included

A full day cruise on a private boat to the picturesque Princess’ Islands, in the Sea of Marmara south of Istanbul. We will visit the two biggest islands, Büyükada and Heybeliada, popular with locals and visitors alike for their relaxing and enchanting “old life” atmosphere.

Once on the islands, the first thing you will notice is the absence of noise, since all traffic is banned. You can opt for a horse- carriage, the Phaeton, or a bicycle to explore the unspoiled nature, the pine forest and the pristine beaches, or just wander around the leafy lanes of the cozy town and marvel at the exquisite fin de siècle mansions. Your guide will share interesting stories about the history of the islands, as they have once provided refuge for exiled emperors and empresses.

If you are keen for some action, we can arrange a tour of the sandy coves for swimming and diving in the calm waters. Don’t forget to bring swim wear and comfortable shoes, a hat and sun lotion.

Lunch is included in one of the most prestigious local institutions, but for those who prefer to wander on their own there is great variety of choice among the fish restaurants and the local eateries, cafes, and ice-cream parlors to satisfy your appetite, before we make our way back to Istanbul.
